Let's Go With Pancho Villa
Synopsis:
From Mexico's Golden Age of Cinema comes this rediscovered classic by legendary director Fernando de Fuentes, including the rarely seen alternate ending censored in Mexico for decades. Part of the director's "Revolutionary Trilogy," Vamonos Con Pancho Villa follows the adventures of six young men who leave their rural homes to join Pancho Villa's army. Together, the men endure hardship, tragedy, and disillusionment-all for the cause of the Mexican Revolution. A leading figure in the Mexican Cinema of the 1930s, de Fuentes' most important work dealt with his country's history, particularly the Revolution. He was acclaimed for his use of moving camera, but his visual sense closely matches that of John Ford. Vamonos Con Pancho Villa confirms the director's importance in the history of Latin American film.

It is only through her work in art class with the help of her compassionate art teacher Mr. Freeman (Steve Zahn) that she begins to reach out to others and eventually finds her own voice and inner strength. Poor Candy (Susan Sennet) is heading home from Catholic school when she is suddenly snatched by a group of sadistic kidnappers wearing Groucho Marx glasses (Tiffany Bolling, Brad David, Vince Martorano). Little do the inept kidnappers know that Candy is not who they think she is and their dreams of wealth and the easy life are soon to be shattered by real-life violence. Influenced by the Charles Manson murders and the end of the 60s hippy Love Generation, The Candy Snatchers is one of the most cleverly twisted and nasty thrillers to come out of the 70's American exploitation cinema, similar in tone to Wes Cravens The Last House on the Left. A Whisper In The Dark
Synopsis:
Strange things are going on in a beautiful and decadent Venetian villa. A young mother (Nathalie Delon) is horrified to discover that the imaginary friend of her son (Alessandro Poggi) is the second child she lost during her last pregnancy. Haunted by guilt, plagued by freak accidents and disbelieved by her husband (John Phillip Law), she turns for help to a famous psychiatrist (Joseph Cotten), only to learn that the ghost of her dead child is a very naughty boy.
Painstakingly restored from the original vault negatives and available uncut for the first time in the USA, this subtle, disturbing scarefeast is driven by a sensual score from maestro Pino Donaggio.
